Transfer of RHPA membership to the Australia Rheumatology Association

Further to our previous advice regarding the outcome of the Extraordinary General Meeting, we are pleased to announce that the transfer of RHPA memberships to the ARA can now proceed. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the ARA Board for their support, and also their generosity in waiving fees for the remainder of this calendar year.  Please note that any RHPA members who renewed their membership mid-year will receive a reimbursement.

We encourage all RHPA members to take advantage of the fee-free period, by applying for their non-medical ARA membership as soon as possible. The steps are as follows:

  1. Have a copy of your CV on hand (a brief version is fine)
  2. Obtain the names of a proposer and seconder who are full, financial members of the ARA. Those who do not already know a proposer and seconder are asked to contact their local state branch of the ARA for assistance.
  3. Complete the online application form at  https://rheumatology.org.au/members/join-online.asp  to apply for non-medical membership of the ARA. Google Chrome Web Browser is recommended.
  4. Please add ‘RHP Special Interest Group’ in the ‘Special circumstances’ box, in order to identify that you wish to be a member of the RHP SIG.

Please direct any membership queries to Suzanne Marks at rhpa@rheumatology.org.au  in the first instance.

We look forward to a sustainable and collaborative future as part of the ARA.
